Finding Flow

I seek
the way

the path
of
words

les notes d'arpentage
caught on
lines
and
the blank space
echos
of
Emerson's
wisdom
to live wide
amid surfaces
and know deep
the true art
is to skate, to finish and to find
the journey
in every step
and be
thankful
for small mercies
along the way

Le bonheur n'est pas dans la destination, mais dans le voyage lui-même

and so I wander
it is my choice
to choose this path
the path
of
words

Le choix de la flâneuse

wide ruled
 ends

gives
way
to
solid
means

ground
to stand
 (walk, run, roll, lay)
on

the hallowed
 edict uttered
to keep
the critic caw
and censor hiss
gagged and bound

Now I am
free
to
roam

with two tails
twitching
teapots
boiling
and
parchment
spread'
each morning
to soak up

blood
sweat
tears
and
tea
that
spilled

on
the path
of
words

a wild
overgrown
verdant
sometimes scandalously
hidden
in
plain sight
way
which
will
wander
again
and
again
and
again

“For true love is inexhaustible; the more you give, the more you have. And if you go to draw at the true fountainhead, the more water you draw, the more abundant is its flow.”
Antoine de Saint-Exupery

*Le bonheur n'est pas dans la destination, mais dans le voyage lui-même - happiness is  not in the destination but in the journey itself

*les notes d'arpentage - field notes

*Le choix de la flâneuse - the choice of the wandering woman
