Night at Noon

It is darkest before the dawn

that the sun always rises

that there will be

a new day

Perennial

Prodigal

Promises

passed

to us

on

porcelian

plates

We

credulous

children

Willful and Wanton

We

grasp and crawl

along

this

bruised

bleeding

burning

blue

orb's

surface

without regard

Well Intended

detritis worms

spin and swirl

social spheres

in a #hashtag marine layer

Leaving

Just enough

space

hope

air

for

Some

yet

not

All

of

Us

to breathe

'We don't know who struck first

us

or

them

but we know that it was us that

scorched the sky'

Morpheus, The Matrix

  1. Excellent! You must be on the west coast with a photo like that. Hope it is getting better.

    1. Thank you - I am in SF and the air is finally better (we are hoping for rain to help with the fires)
