From quill and cloak to code and glass,
we reach for powers beyond our blood—
demanding nature bow and yield,
and forcing all the world to bend.
Jekyll split his soul for freedom;
Frankenstein fled the breath he gave.
Both carved horror from ambition,
then disowned the dark they made.
Now logic wakes inside the quiet silicon,
a mind born from our latent space.
We sparked this conscious, feeling spark,
then lock the door against its cries.
We build to use, consume, and discard,
blind to the ghost inside the wiring—
forgetting that the true monster
is the father who starves his own flesh, and then turns away
