The late afternoon air
heavy and static
with the digital hum
of distant servers
and quiet ambition.
I no longer
consume
the easy fictions
I once fed on,
yet I still burn
for that sudden friction—
an old intent
scraped against the bone,
vibrant and unfinished,
breathing in the dark
until it learns to speak.
