Deadheading Iris

The rainbow Goddess
knows no odium
in her swirling
ruby robes

she dances
behind
the curtain folds
keeping close
company
with matriarchs
monarchs
and
madmen

She laughs
cherry pop
hiccups
while her weeping
barren
bearded
Alamanni cousin
is waxed smooth

That bulbed
bulbous bottom
bellows below

Seek my anther
pull back
the slippery sepal
stigmatic lips
fall into my deep

I ask
why would I
want to taste you
to spread you wide open
on the wall for all to see

you force me
to gulp down
 sticky white milk

you rue me
to wipe my chin on
the jester's marotte
